Why I'm Doing This
When eToro gave me 50 partner referral slots with a signup bonus attached, I had a choice. I could blast them across social media and fill every slot in a day — the standard influencer playbook. Quick numbers, zero filtering, everyone moves on. But that's not how I think about copiers, and it's not how a systematic strategy survives long-term. I'd rather find 50 people who actually read the strategy, understand the risk, and plan to stick around.
That's why there's a short application instead of a "sign up now" button. The form takes about two minutes. It asks a few basic questions — not because I'm gatekeeping (I'm a physicist-turned-trader running a systematic portfolio on Wikifolio and eToro, not an admissions committee), but because the copiers who will last through a 30% drawdown are the ones who know what they are getting into before the drawdown starts.

The Numbers
The strategy is 100% rule-based — a systematic momentum approach across three asset classes: US stocks, gold and Bitcoin. In the eToro book the stocks come from two indices: 5 names from the Nasdaq 100 and 8 from the Russell 1000. Rotation happens within the stock sleeve; the three asset classes are reset to their target weights once a year. Every decision is algorithmic. No gut feeling, no discretionary overrides, no earnings-driven panic trades. The system runs, the system decides, I execute.
Here are the headline numbers of the eToro book. The first set covers the last ten years (2016–2026). That window flatters, though: it holds no real bear market, 2026 is not over yet, and Bitcoin only enters in 2016. So the second set stretches back 31 years, with the dot-com crash and the 2008 financial crisis in the mix. All numbers are simulated, not live returns: nobody traded exactly this book before September 2026.

Why 50 Slots?
eToro allocates a fixed number of referral bonus slots to each partner on their platform. I received 50. This is not artificial scarcity or a marketing countdown timer that resets at midnight — it's a hard cap from eToro's partner program. When all 50 are claimed, the bonus offer ends. I cannot request more.
The math is simple: 50 slots, first to apply and answer correctly gets served first. The strategy page stays up regardless. The bonus doesn't.
